Next week, we will be exchanging Valentines with our classmates on Tuesday. February 14th. We have have 24 students in our class if you would like to send Valentines cards and candy. If you would like, your child may bring a decorated Valentines "mail box" for our card exchange. Students that don't bring a Valentines "mail box" will be given a bag to decorate!
On Monday, March 6th all second grade classes will be going on our annual "College Bound" field trip. This year we will be going to Crowder College campus in Neosho, Missouri. Students will need to bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable shoes. Due to limited seating, each class will have enough space for 3 parent chaperones. These chaperones can follow the buses and meet us at the college campus. Permission slips will go home on Wednesday, February 8th.
Parent-teacher conferences will be Monday, February 20th from 12:30 to 6:30. As the PLP teachers and I shared before, your child will be leading their conference by sharing their information in their Leadership Notebook. There will be at least 4 conferences going on at the same time. The PLP teachers have scheduled conferences from 12:30 to 6:30 and won't be able to meet with parents of students from other classes; however if you would like to meet with another PLP teacher to discuss writing/phonics and/or math, you will need to schedule a different conference time before or after school on a different day.
Thank you so much for all that you do!
